Overview
At COMVAC 2025, Seize Air presented a new compressor generation with integrated S431 flow meter from SUTO iTEC.
For the first time, users can view flow and consumption data alongside pressure, temperature and power directly on the HMI display.
Challenge of the Customer
Seize Air aimed to bring greater transparency to compressor operations by adding air flow measurement to traditional parameters. Most compressor manufacturers do not measure air delivery directly, even though it is a critical indicator of efficiency and performance.
The challenge was to integrate a reliable flow meter that can withstand high internal temperatures and vibration, and still deliver precise data inside the compact compressor environment.
How We Solve the Problem
SUTO iTEC provided the S431 Pitot Tube Flow Meter, which is designed for easy installation and robust performance in demanding environments. The sensor was installed directly inside the compressor on a welding nipple, requiring minimal space.
It was calibrated together with the compressor during test bench procedures, ensuring high accuracy. The sensor measures flow, pressure, and temperature, transmitting values via Modbus or analogue signal. For maintenance and configuration, a wireless mobile app interface is
available.
Its design supports pipe sizes from DN50 to DN900, reducing the need for multiple variants.
Results
The integration of the S431 enabled Seize Air to become one of the first manufacturers to provide real time flow monitoring as part of the standard compressor functionality. This offers end users deeper insights into system behavior, energy use, and delivery efficiency.
In addition to differentiating their product line, Seize Air benefits from simplified servicing and recalibration processes, as the sensor can be easily exchanged. Despite being installed inside the compressor, the S431 operates reliably under high temperatures and mechanical stress.
