A mismatch between analog output and displayed value usually results from scaling or unit inconsistencies between the sensor and the receiving device.
Possible causes:
  • The analog output range is configured differently from the displayed engineering range.
  • The display shows one unit while the analog output is assigned to another unit or parameter.
  • The PLC or logger interprets the current signal using the wrong scaling.
  • 0–20 mA and 4–20 mA configuration are mixed up.
  • Electrical loading, grounding, or wiring problems distort the signal.
Technically correct checks:
  • Check which parameter and range are assigned to the analog output.
  • Confirm that both sensor and receiving device use the same engineering units and span.
  • Measure the actual loop current with a calibrated multimeter.
  • Verify the burden resistance and input type of the receiving device.
  • Inspect grounding and wiring to exclude signal distortion.
