Waste gas treatment plays an indispensable role in complying with environmental protection laws and regulations in the semiconductor and LCD industry. Industrial waster gas goes through combustion and washing processes in order to meet emission standards. In the combustion process, the intake of compressed air affects the efficiency and cost of waster gas treatment–Too low intake results in insufficient combustion while too much causes waste of energy.
A Chinese semiconductor manufacturer (remains anonymous) used a common pipe-type flow meter in their waste gas treatment system (see the left figure) to monitor the air intake, and the meter is large in size and requires straight pipe sections reserved in its inlet and outlet.
To pursue a higher measurement accuracy, the manufacturer began to look for better quality and more easy-to-install compressed air flow meters in the market. The SUTO S415 flow meter stands out with compact size, no-need-to-reserved straight sections, and advantageous price. After comparative testing, the manufacturer well recognizes the performance of the S415 and becomes one of long-term partners of SUTO.
